Skipper Eye-Q Super Speciality Eye Hospital is an international eye hospital chain with a presence of 30 in India and 4 in Nigeria, handling all types of eye surgeries such as cataract, retina, glaucoma, presbyopia, cornea, squint, refractive error, and other vision problems, and having treated 10+ million patients. Our patients get the same treatment in Nigeria as in the US, UK, and India. 18 Years in Eye Care. We are HMO empaneled hospitals.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Medical Counsellor

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients through detailed conversations, interviews, and observations to determine the appropriate testing or examination.
• Diagnosing the patient’s mental and emotional disorders.
• Creating effective treatment plans that include counseling, medication, or other services.
• Working with your patient and developing goals.
• Discussing the treatment plan with your patient on a regular basis to identify faults or room for improvement.
• Educating patients about appropriate coping mechanisms to help them through tough situations.
• Recording the patient’s progress and changing their treatment plan when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a medical counsellor, preferably in the ophthalmology field
• Superb verbal and written communication skills.
• Aptitude to empathize with clients and help them open up.
• Good time management skills.
• Proven experience in developing effective treatment plans.
• Must reside within the Victoria Island axis.
