Job Title: Gender Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Gender Officer to support the integration of gender equality and social inclusion across our programs and operations.
The Gender Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring gender-responsive initiatives, ensuring that all projects promote equal opportunities and empower women and marginalized groups.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement gender mainstreaming strategies across programs and organizational activities.
Conduct gender analyses to inform program design and implementation.
Ensure gender-responsive planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation.
Provide technical guidance to staff on gender equality and social inclusion.
Support the development of policies, tools, and frameworks that promote gender equity.
Design and facilitate gender training and capacity-building sessions for staff and stakeholders.
Monitor and report on gender-related indicators and program outcomes.
Support advocacy initiatives that promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Collaborate with program teams to ensure gender considerations are integrated into project implementation.
Prepare periodic reports and documentation on gender initiatives and impact.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience working in gender programming, social inclusion, or development projects.
Strong understanding of gender equality frameworks and policies.
Experience in conducting gender analysis and gender-responsive program design.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
