The Katsina State Hospitals Services Management Board
The Katsina State Hospitals Services Management Board was first established by Kaduna State Government via edict No. 7 of 1978. The same edict was modified and adapted under CAP 63 of the laws of Katsina State of Nigeria. In 1993, the Board was merged with the State Ministry of Health through an Executive order. However, it was reactivated on 30th March, 1998 operate autonomously, with a Governing Board under the supervision of the Ministry of Health. The Board has under control all staff at the Headquarters, State Medical store, Government House Clinic, Psychiatric Hospital as well as all those working at the 18 General Hospital in the Katsina, Daura, Funtua, Malumdfashi, Mani, Kankia, Dutsinma, Batsari, Baure, Babbaruga, Rimi, Ingawa, Musawa, Kankara and Danmusa.

Job Title: Computer Analyst

Job Description
The Computer Analyst will be responsible for supporting and maintaining information technology systems within KTHSMB healthcare facilities.
The role involves managing hardware and software infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, supporting health information systems, and providing technical assistance to staff.
The officer will also contribute to the digitization of healthcare processes, system security, and efficient data management in line with public health and administrative standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and support computer systems, networks, and peripherals
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems
Manage hospital data systems and ensure data accuracy and security
Provide technical support and training to healthcare and administrative staff
Monitor system performance and implement necessary upgrades
Ensure regular system backups and disaster recovery processes
Support implementation of electronic health record (EHR) systems
Maintain IT documentation, logs, and inventory of equipment
Collaborate with management on IT planning and system improvements
Ensure compliance with data protection and IT governance policies
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong IT support and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of networking and system administration
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic databases
Relevant experience.
