We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Music Teacher

Location: Chevron, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Core Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery:Develop and teach music lesson plans, covering music theory, notation, rhythm, and history.
Performance & Instruction:Teach vocal and instrumental music (e.g., piano, guitar, orchestra) to various skill levels.
Event Coordination:Plan and execute school concerts, assemblies, musicals, and special performances.
Student Assessment:Evaluate students’ musical growth, maintain grade records, and provide feedback.
Classroom Management:Create a positive, safe, and engaging environment that promotes creativity and discipline.
Resource Management:Maintain and care for school-owned instruments and audio equipment.
Extracurricular Activities:Lead music clubs, ensembles, or choir programs outside of regular hours.
Key Duties in Context:

Elementary:Focus on foundational skills, singing, and rhythm through interactive activities.
Secondary:Focus on specialization, such as competitive band, choir, or music technology.
Communication:Regular communication with parents and staff regarding student progress.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Music or Music Education.
Certification:Valid state teaching licensure/certification in music.
Skills:Proficiency in one or more musical instruments and/or voice.
Passion:Ability to motivate students of all abilities and foster a love for music.
