Presales Engineer

The thought of creating TERAWORK came to our founder in 2015 after an unpleasant experience where he engaged and worked remotely with an unknown person he met online to help complete a tech project. While it is clear he needed help from an expert for a few days, he didn’t get one. The bad experience was partly due to a lack of online platforms in the region that offer an end-to-end process for employing remote workers in a flexible and safe manner.

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced presales engineer to support the design and delivery of enterprise infrastructure solutions.
• The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent client-facing skills, working closely with sales teams and customers to develop solutions across backup and recovery, enterprise storage, server infrastructure, hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), and virtualization technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and design tailored infrastructure solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept sessions.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution architectures, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and implementation recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance on backup and recovery, storage, servers, HCI, and virtualization solutions.
• Support RFP/RFI responses and customer solution discussions.
• Engage enterprise clients to assess current environments and recommend future-state infrastructure strategies.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive solutions.
• Ensure smooth technical handover to implementation and delivery teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in presales engineering, solution architecture, or a related infrastructure-focused role.
• Hands-on experience with backup and recovery solutions such as Veeam, Veritas, Commvault, Cohesity, or Rubrik.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise storage, server infrastructure, virtualization, and HCI platforms.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware vSAN, Nutanix, or similar technologies.
• Ability to create technical documentation, solution designs, and architecture diagrams.
• Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with enterprise clients across sectors such as financial services, oil & gas, legal, and public sector organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• VMware, Veeam, Microsoft, Dell, NetApp, or HPE certifications.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud infrastructure, backup-to-cloud, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible or PowerCLI.

Salary
N750,000 – N1,000,000 Gross Monthly.
